Simon James is seeking an Accountant to join our Auckland based team. An exciting opportunity across all parts of the business - furniture, lighting and our Simon James stores.
Role Overview
As sole charge accountant, you will be an integral part of the Simon James team. Based at our Mt Eden showroom, we are looking for an experienced accountant to manage all finance functions across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Payroll and PAYE filing
- Payable processing and receivables, including multi-currency transactions
- Monthly management reporting and budget analysis
- GST and FBT tax compliance
Key Expectations
- Tertiary degree in Accounting
- Experience working within the manufacturing and retail sector
- Confident in working across multiple areas of the business to assist each department
- Adhere to IRD and internal reporting deadlines
- High attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in Xero
This is a full time position based in our Mt Eden Showroom. This position will suit someone who is looking forward to being a valued part of a dedicated team within the design industry.
