Jessica McCormack consists of a quartet of partners - the designer, the diamantaire, the businesswoman and finally, the House. Established to revive the best of traditional techniques in combination with Jessica’s design aesthetic - sought after by clients from London to Los Angeles - the brand is unique in its approach to modern luxury.
Starting with the designer herself, Jessica’s design process begins with a series of hand drawn sketches developed with an eye and an ear for bespoke clients’ personal stories. She then oversees the creation of each piece in her on-site workshop, where craftsmen trained in traditional techniques make every jewel by hand using the highest quality materials.
Businesswoman Rachel Slack, scion of the Oppenheimer family famous for De Beers, originally met Jessica when she tasked her with creating a bespoke setting for the exquisite Millennium Diamond, a gift from her grandfather Harry Oppenheimer. Rachel’s partnering with Jessica was a natural extension of their shared af nity for the sort of low-key, high-end luxury of days gone by.
Michael Rosenfeld, art collector and third generation diamantaire, is the third element of the trio that brought Jessica McCormack to life. Having spotted Jessica’s talent over a decade ago after a recommendation from a contact at Sotheby’s, Michael has supported Jessica’s business from its beginnings in a Clerkenwell studio to the Mayfair house where she is now based. He sources the stones of character for which she is known and, with a lifetime’s expertise in the eld, provides direct access to the best diamonds in the world, ensuring that quality, beauty and value always remain at the core of Jessica McCormack.
The fourth element of the business is 7 Carlos Place - Jessica McCormack’s ‘silent partner.’ A grand 19th Century townhouse in the heart of Mayfair with critically acclaimed interiors designed by Jessica, filled with an ever changing array of Michael’s collection of art, antiques and books - the house is part salon, part atelier. A secret garden enables guests to see diamonds by daylight, while the on-site work- shop ensures the highest levels of craftsmanship from start to finish.
