The Godmother Blankets are a limited-edition, collection of wool blankets by New Zealand designer and stylist Kirsty Cameron. Each piece is woven in Aotearoa from Stansborough Grey wool, and hand finished. The fiber is dyed using a chemical free process and each style is a numbered edition of only 12. These are unique and beautiful textiles to own, and to keep for future generations.
The blankets are made of Stansborough Grey, a soft wool that has a complex pedigree. Known for its softness and natural grayscale colors, with glints of metallic sheen, it comes from a rare flock of sheep brought to New Zealand from Denmark in the 1970s.
Available in three variations of stripe pattern - in soft, yet uplifting tones.

100% Stansborough Wool. All the wool is from New Zealand and primarily from the lower North Island where Stansborough grow their own grey flock. They also weave the blankets on old looms that came from the Petone Woollen Mills.
The Eldridge’s personally attend the shearing, hand sorting and grading of the fleece of each animal. After the fleece has been professionally worsted spun, the yarn is then woven at their own historic Weaving Mill in Wellington. 100% grown, inspired, designed and created in New Zealand, the end product is totally natural and eco friendly; from the sustainable way the animals are farmed, right through to the hand finished textiles. The fibres used are in totally natural or biodegradable overdyed colours only.
