Fisher & Paykel Auckland Experience Centre

Developed in collaboration with Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, the Designed in Aotearoa philosophy of Fisher & Paykel can be seen at their new Auckland Experience Centre.  The centre boasts sculptural elements and natural materiality that effectively communicates Fisher & Paykel innovations and its sense of place.

Led by Jaron Ansley, Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, Alt Group, Rufus Knight and Dahlia Ghani of Knight Associates, every physical element and human interaction is reverberated with the brand's connection to tāngata whenua.

A monumental trunk of swamp kauri rests within the heart of the experience centre.  Paying homage to its location of indigenous roots, it represents Kāwharu, the ‘Kaipara Giant’.  The ancestral synergy is monumented through a 4,000-year-old Kauri and six-ton basalt sculpture from which the water feature breathes literally and figuratively.  The raw material palette encompasses West Coast black sand, ironsand-infused plaster and reclaimed tōtara.

The Fisher & Paykel Auckland Experience Centre is an ambitious space that reinforces the brand's commitment to excellence.  The outcome is awe-inspiring—a remarkable expansion that highlights the true potential of Fisher & Paykel's one-of-a-kind design, offering an abundance of interior design inspiration from the moment you step in.
